Blackpool FC Community Trust

Blackpool FC Community Trust is a forward-thinking charity, based at Bloomfield Road Stadium. We work with residents as young as 2 years old up to adults in the later stages of life and aim to provide a diverse range of programmes to increase social inclusion opportunities; improve physical fitness, health and education; and lessen involvement in anti-social behaviour.

This year alone we have worked with more than 25,000 Blackpool residents and delivered almost 14,000 sessions. We have invested £1.37m into our community engaging over 4,000 people every week.

Many of the initiatives we deliver are directly funded through partner organisations and grant awarding bodies. Some of these include; The Premier League; the EFL Trust; The PFA; Sport England; Big Lottery; The Football Foundation; NHS Blackpool CCG and Blackpool Council to name a few.

The Trust works to support local need and by linking with local partners we are able to increase the impact we can have on our town. We receive in-kind support from a number of local agencies which has proved a great benefit and should not go unrecognised. Working with so many organisations has allowed the Trust to become a vital strategic partner in activity provision across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. We have recently launched our ‘Friends of the Trust’ scheme which allows anybody to provide a monetary contribution to the work that we do, for more information on how you can help please do get in touch.

After a lot of hard work, we were also recently able to open of our very first purpose-built facility. The application process was long and difficult, but we now have a Community and Education Centre, at Bloomfield Road, to support our participants and use as a base for a number of our community programmes.

This year will always be significant for the Trust as we celebrate 10 years as a registered charity. During this period the Trust has undergone significant growth and has become an established organisation that every Blackpool FC fan and resident should be involved with and very proud of.

Please follow our progress and get involved where you can.
